Dr Ruth Cooper retires after 28 years at Staffa Health

On the 30th November Dr Ruth Cooper retired as GP Partner at Staffa health. Dr Cooper has been a GP at Staffa Health for her entire career and for latter years of that career she has been a senior partner.

Exceptional patient care has been Dr Cooper’s first priority and it is what mattered most to her. She has always wanted to see the practice improve and develop and was responsible for many of the innovations we have implemented at Staffa.

Dr Cooper has said:

I retired from Staffa Health on Monday 30th November after 28 years. I want to take this opportunity to say goodbye to all the patients at Staffa and to say that it has been a privilege to look after you during my time at the practice. I have had the honour of leading an outstanding team but must now hand over to Dr Gadsden, who takes over as senior partner. I am leaving at an exceptional time for us all, with the associated significant challenges, but I can retire with the knowledge that I am leaving Staffa Health in very safe hands.

I will sign off now and wish you all a safe and happy Christmas.

A farewell for Dr Cooper from the Staffa team was held online to celebrate her achievements. It was a very popular meeting with so many colleagues wishing to thank Dr Cooper and congratulate her on her remarkable career.

Dr Cooper has been an inspiration to all who have worked with her and we all wish her a very happy and healthy retirement.
