They have also undergone additional training which includes examination and diagnostic assessment and prescribing. They are able to examine, diagnose common conditions, order investigations, agree treatment and refer to other members of the team and hospital consultants.
Our Clinical Pharmacist, Matt Chamberlain consults with and treats patients directly. Matt also supports the rest of the clinical team with resolving day-to-day medicine issues and providing clinical advice about medications and treatments.
The Practice Nurses help and support patients with long term conditions such as Diabetes, Heart disease, Asthma or COPD. They carry out childhood immunisations, wound care, ear syringing, blood tests, cervical smears, travel vaccinations and contraceptive injections as well as a number of other services.
